The report is comprised of five parts. The text of the report appears in .pdf file 01 and should be read first.

The remainder of the .pdf files (36, 39, 45,47 ) are photos of the feedback sheets and Village of Chester maps from the community meeting workshop held in August 2009. The workshop was facilitated by the consultants, EDM.

1. Develop a Community Vision Statement- update by Kerry and Becky
2. Form a Street and Traffic Advisory Committee- update from John Pece if he is present
3. Host and facilitate a Village Hall Meeting- on hold
4. Increase and broaden our membership- report from membership team
5. Leverage our positions on the Steering Committee for the Municipality’s Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP)- update from Joy
6. Campaign to persuade Municipal Council to convert to the mayoral system in accordance with Part 1, Section 12 (8) of the Municipal Government Act- for future discussion
7. Promote Communities in Bloom – Tourism Industry of Nova Scotia (TIANS) supported community beautification program- assign responsibility for action in 2009
8. Request that Municipal Council adopt a vehicle noise bylaw- complete
9. Public Washrooms- update from Village Commission Meeting

10. Develop an allotment (public garden space) in partnership with Chester Municipal Heritage Society- discussion
